Keeping things close, direct and real. Keeping things close, direct and real.

OBERHAUM is an independent music and cultural platform based in Amsterdam, moving between radio, events and a label.

What started from after-hours sessions in a living room slowly grew into a community driven platform, now run by two of its founders. The name comes from the upstairs room where it all began, and still reflects the idea behind it: keeping things close, direct and real.

Each week, artists play extended radio sessions from Broedplaats ACTA, streamed live and later shared online as part of an ongoing archive.

Alongside the radio, OBERHAUM organizes events across different spaces and runs a label connected to the artists around the platform. Focused on accessibility, community and emerging talent.
