This week at OBERHAUM, we’re joined by Herr Alt, known for his In the Wirwar concept at HAL25 in Alkmaar. Stepping behind the decks, he delivers a genre-blending DJ set packed with breakbeat, electronica, and everything in between. He’s also a musician and producer. Blending modular sounds with guitar, and ‘random sound encounters’ with songwriting hooks, Herr Alt finds his groove by linking guitar licks to EMF manipulation, and live bass lines to Octatrack sequencing. The result is singer-songwriter music played on a range of modular synths, creating something both electronic and organic. Alt-indie, but perfectly tuned for the festival ear.
